Gathering followers with its versatility and friendly nature, the V-Strom 650 has earned the respect by many riders as an excellent touring machine.
It is truly a masterpiece with the ultimate balance provided by the natural riding position, comfortable seat and the flexible engine character allowing stress-free riding anything from daily use to long distance adventure touring.
The XT Cross-Touring variant comes fitted with wire-spoked wheels, hand guards and engine under cowling as standard equipment and is available in both full-powered and learner approved variants.
The famous 645cm3 V-Twin powerplant has undergone an update, installing new technology such as the resin-coated pistons, and revising over 60 engine components to achieve a higher output in a broad area of the rev-range, while keeping the unique V-Twin character with low fuel consumption. With low fuel consumption combined with the large 20L fuel tank, the riding range between fill-ups are at the top in this class, relieving the rider from the stress of frequent refuelling.
The 20L fuel tank is slimmer and is able to accommodate magnetically attachable tank bags. The frame and seat areas have been slimmed down on the sides allowing the rider to reach straight down with their legs covers, providing more confidence and stability.
Extended 9mm taller to reduce the windblast and buffering to the rider's body.
A 12V DC outlet positioned directly below the instruments as standard equipment.
The seat lives up to the reputation of the V-Strom comfort. While securing a wide flat area to support the rider when riding, the front of the seat is slim enabling the rider to easily reach the ground when stopping.
The high and low beam of the light weight headlight unit is in a compact vertical configuration.
High visibility and contributes to weight savings over a conventional bulb unit.
The V-Strom 650XT features tubeless tyre applicable wire-spoked wheels which absorb shock from the road better due to the flexible character of the spokes.
Protecting the engine from stones and other road debris.
The traction control system can be switched to either of two modes of intervention, or off completely.
A remote pre-load adjuster can be operated by hand without tools, allows the rider to quickly setup the suspension to match the riding style or in a case of two-up riding or with a full load of luggage.
