The all-new Suzuki Vitara is the vehicle of choice for Team Suzuki Ecstar riders Maverick Viales and Aleix Espargaro during their visit to Australia for the official three day MotoGP test.
The test conducted at the renowned Phillip Island circuit will be just one of the three opportunities for the stars of the sport to get to terms with their 2016 machines before the season commences in March.
Its a very tight schedule for the team with a plethora of work that needs to be carried out from testing new engine parts, an abundance of tyres and acquiring data that will be carefully analysed by the factory engineers post-test. Highly stressful circumstances that require a team to be highly efficient, much like the Vitaras 5.8L/100km fuel consumption rating.
After travelling thirty plus hours from Europe, the riders need comfort and the Vitara provides that in spades with its spacious luxury interior featuring a 7-inch multimedia screen with reversing camera. The intelligent satellite navigation system ensures they travel along our beautiful coastal lines in the most intuitive and uncomplicated way.
The massive 375 litres of luggage space will accommodate even the most demanding professional athletes with plenty of room for race leathers, helmets and riding apparel.
When asked about the Vitara, Aleix Espargaro #41 commented For me, I like the Suzuki Vitara very much, in Spain we only have the diesel models so I was very excited to drive the petrol car and see how the 1.6L engine performs, on behalf of the team we would like to thank Suzuki Australia for lending us several Vitaras for our short stay
Race fans will get the opportunity to see Team Suzuki Ecstar in action October 21-23rd for the return of the Australian MotoGP race. The Suzuki VIP Village will also make its return with interested customers encouraged to keep an eye out for ticket on sale date.
