17 year old Egan Mastin will join Team Motul Suzuki for the final two rounds of the 2015 MX Nationals, filling in for the injured Matt Moss at both the Toowoomba and Coolum rounds of the series.

Mastin who won the MXD championship in 2014, has spent the majority of 2015 living and racing in the United States focusing on the American Amateur Motocross Championships recently held at Lorretta Lynns.

Racing both the Open Pro Sport and 450 A classes, Mastin proved that he is a talented 450 rider when he crossed the line first in the opening Open Pro Sport race of the week long event.

With Mastin's American season coming to a conclusion last weekend, Motul Suzuki team manager Jay Foreman extended an offer to the Newcastle based rider to contest at the final two MX Nationals rounds, with Mastin jumping at the chance to race aboard one of the teams RM-Z450 race machines.

"It felt awesome to get the call from Jay offering myself the chance to race for the team at the final two rounds of the MX Nationals." Mastin enthused after arriving home late last week.

"I am looking forward to racing back here in Australia. The last time I raced here was the final round of the MX Nationals last year and to return to the nationals with the team that has won the past two MX1 championships is a great opportunity."

"I am really looking forward to getting out there." Mastin added.

Foreman is looking forward to seeing Mastin back racing in Australia and is glad to be able to give one of Australia's up and coming racers the opportunity to once again display their talent on home soil.

"Mastin certainly impressed last year in the MXD class and that certainly did not go unnoticed, but with him making the choice to race overseas this year his name had fallen off the map a little bit." Foreman commented.

"His results at Loretta's had his name popping up again so we gave him a call while he was on his way back to Australia and offered him a ride for the final two rounds of the nationals and we excited to have Egan joining our team to round out the series.

"Having a rider that lives local to the team is a bonus as it will give us the opportunity to work with him in the short time we have before we head to Toowoomba in just under two weeks time." Foreman concluded.

Catch Team Motul Suzuki at the 9th round of the 2015 MX Nationals where Egan Mastin will make his debut with the team along side Kale Makeham as the series heads to Toowoomba, Qld on the Sunday the 23rd of August.
